Healthy Boiler Taste Testing Events 

In an effort to educate students about nutrition, Purdue Dining & Culinary will be holding taste testing events throughout the Spring Semester. The focus for Healthy Boiler's Nutrition in March 2019 focuses on the benefits of plant based proteins, with Lentils as our Featured Ingredient.

Benefits of Lentils

  • Plant based proteins are linked with a lower risk of chronic diseases
  • Envoronmentally friendly
  • High in protein and rich in fiber content
  • Shown to lower cholesterol
  • Help develop muscle mass and aid in muscle repair and recovery

Tasting Events** will be held on the following dates and locations:

Week of March 25, 2019 
Monday Dinner - Wiley Dining Court - "Lentil Hummus with Pita Bread"
Wednesday Dinner - Hillenbrand Dining Court - "Lentil Falafel Slider"
Friday Lunch - Windsor Dining Court - "Lentil Grain Bowl"

Each of these recipes are made available by our chefs.
