2024-25 Academic Year Meal Plan Changes

The Change Your Meal Plan option will be available in the housing contract portal for students who want to make changes to their meal plan for the Fall 2024 semester in late July, 2024. The deadline to make meal plan changes is Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., ET. After August 30, students may not make changes to their meal plan (raise or lower) during the semester.  Students assigned to Hawkins Hall and Hilltop Apartments who want to change to a room-only plan must change their meal plan selection to room only no later than Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., ET

Once your meal plan has been changed, you will receive a confirmation at your Purdue email address.

Examples:

  • If you select the 7-Track meal plan to start the housing contract and want more meals, you can move up to the 10-Track, 14-Track meal plan or the Unlimited meal plan by August 30th.  The difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you select the 7 - Track meal plan to start the housing contract and want more dining dollars, you can change to the 10-Track or 14-Track meal plan by August 30th.  The difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you live in an URBA (University Residences Boiler Apartment) and wish to change from a traditional meal plan to a Block Meal plan, you can do so until August 30th. The difference in cost will be billed to your MyPurdue account.
  • If you are changing plans at semester break and moving up or down into a new plan, any unspent Dining Dollars will roll over to the new plan.

The Fine Print

When choosing a meal plan please be aware that you are signing up for the full academic year. You can make changes to your meal plan during designated times, but you cannot drop the meal plan while you are living in University Residences. Residents of Hawkins Hall or Hilltop Apartments are not required to purchase a meal plan. Students assigned to these residences who wish to change to a room-only option must do so prior to the start of the Fall contract. Current residents of non-apartment halls who transfer to Hilltop Apartments or Hawkins Hall can select a room-only option when they are initially assigned. Residents of Hawkins Hall or Hilltop Apartments may eat at any residential dining services location by purchasing a meal plan in the housing portal.
