Request a Meal Plan Change

The Change Your Meal Plan option in the housing contract portal is now open for students who want to increase the number of meal swipes within their traditional meal plan. Current residents of Hawkins Hall, Hilltop Apartments, or the UR Boiler Apartments who currently have a room-only plan with University Residences may also add a meal plan. To increase your meal swipes in the traditional meal plans or add a meal plan, please visit https://myhousing.purdue.edu/StarRezPortal.

As a reminder, the deadline for students to lower their meal swipes or switch between a traditional meal plan and a block meal plan was Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. This was also the deadline for students assigned to Hawkins Hall, Hilltop Apartments or the UR Boiler Apartments to change from a meal plan to a room-only plan for the 2017-18 Academic Year.

Once your meal plan has been changed, you will receive a confirmation at your Purdue email address.

The Fine Print

When choosing a meal plan please be aware that you are signing up for the full academic year. You can increase your meal plan at any time during the semester, but you cannot drop the meal plan while you are living in University Residences. For the 2017-18 Academic Year, residents of Hawkins Hall, Hilltop Apartments, and the UR Boiler Apartments are not required to purchase a meal plan. However, students assigned to Hawkins Hall, Hilltop Apartments, or the UR Boiler Apartments who wish to change to a room-only plan must do so before the start of the 2017-18 Academic Year contract. Current residents of non-apartment halls who transfer to Hilltop Apartments, Hawkins Hall or the UR Boiler Apartments can select a room-only plan when they are initially assigned. Residents of Hawkins Hall, Hilltop Apartments, or the UR Boiler Apartments on a room-only plan may eat at any residential dining services location by changing their meal plan in the housing contract portal here or by using a BoilerExpress account.
