Strategic Sourcing

The Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible for the contract negotiation and procurement of all food and food-related items for the West Lafayette campus. Annual purchases for these items exceed $19 million. Approximately $6 million of this is warehoused and distributed through Strategic Sourcing Operations.

The Strategic Sourcing team is also responsible for negotiating, contracting, and administering campus vending, franchises, licenses, food service equipment, used grease removal, food grade C02 gas, and other food-related services. In addition, this office approves off-campus caterers, assisting with academic and Purdue Dining & Culinary events.

Services are provided to the food service operations within the division of Dining & Culinary, Hotel Tourism Management (HTM), as well as academic departments requiring products for teaching and research.

Dry goods are stocked at Materials Management and Distribution Center (MMDC). Refrigerated and frozen goods are stocked at Hanson Cold Storage. Products ship out of MMDC located at:
